You did it the hard way. Put him to sleep with sleep pots and either use scarlet rot or poison or use high bleeding weapons. When he woke up put him to sleep again and kill him. This enemy is susceptible to sleep so is the apostle version.

Well this first boss proves that I totally suck at this game. Completed bloodbourne but getting wrecked by this dog.

I summoned my mimic and while I was figuring what the dragon is about and kept surviving the AOE hits, my mimic killed from start to finish on first try. Still don't know what the hell happned lol

When you go to a new region make sure to always have a bodyguard selected as they will 90% of the time save you from death of you have no last chances left or if the captain your fighting has a no last chance they can still save you. Pretty nice to have. Also you can use bodyguard in boss fights for tower sieges for the last room

Thank you so much! This helped me so much and after this video i did it in two tries! Stay behind him and hit the foot was the key for me in the second faze. IMPORTANT: don’t do what comes after him if your planning on doing goldmask or other npc quests! My quests ended after i defeated him

These bosses are well designed....a lot of people syruggle on their first souls pick up game. I remember my first souls game and never understood vigor needed to be high and weapon upgrades....there is no tutorial for this game and if this was old days....we all be struggling

Margit was a beautiful first boss. Godrick and him were probably my favorite two bosses from the base game.

one tip that i have for people is to upgrade your vigor a lot before this fight, if your vigor isnt 18-20 you will get one shotted

I dodged every strike stomp and scarlet rot gas. It spammed the projectile skill tree times in a row when i got stuck to roots of tree😢

Why didn't you use the better version of dragoncrest talisman? It just don't make any sense.

To avoid the floor slam thing he does: first thing first take your lock on off him as soon as possible and look infront of where your character is running, when you hear the slam immediatelly press and hold jump for a bit.

It's soulsborne if dick headed enemies aren't hitting you through the walls.

I'm 30 as far as age but I heard jinjer mentioned 🤘 fk yea man I deff rock a lotta acacia strain etc, also I'm doing a whip play threw and ironically daggers and shields r easier specifically cuz the amount of damage u can get n thru attach spams is depressing 😭 I have made it to the academy past the dog and knight so far but the challenge of managing attack starts and stamina n openings is wild jus to get one or two hits I fell u man lmao
